Contest Entry No. 12

Mel G. sent pictures of her containers in on August 1, with an apologetic subject line “too late for the contest, but…” and a humble disclaimer that her containers weren’t contest worthy. Well, we think they are VERY contest worthy, so we’re extending the contest deadline. For all you last-minuters, the contest deadline is now August 14th. Contest details can be seen here.

For the Best Container Planting category, here is Michelle G.’s first container, and what she wrote:

Although these certainly are not contest-worthy, I promised I’d send you some pics of my containers. After years of trial and error on my shady deck, I have a few tried and true favourites that seem to work.   If I can catch my Moon Flower in all its glory, I’ll send you a pic of that too.  East of Eliza becomes my second home in late spring and early summer and when I was working, I seriously considered having my pay cheque forwarded directly to the shop.   LOL
